Abstract

The adaptation strategies of the hotel and restaurant sector in Chernivtsi during the ongoing war in Ukraine are analyzed. In the absence of foreign tourists, the focus has shifted to serving internally displaced persons, humanitarian organizations, Key challenges such as the restructuring of services to meet the needs of long-term residents, rising operating costs and labor shortages are highlighted. Case studies of local businesses illustrate successful practices, including flexible pricing policies, social responsibility initiatives, and the optimization of resources. Strategic flexibility and a community-centered approach are identified as crucial for the sector’s sustainability under current conditions.
