| Abstract: | The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has triggered an unprecedented global economic shutdown - herefrom, some scientists suggest a decade-long slowdown, high unemployment rates, and lasting damage to globalized supply and value chains. The current crisis hit the innovation landscape too. It will be important to closely monitor the innovation finance goals set as per the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in that light. The evolving political and economic climate since 2008 has brought about a revival in political and economic nationalism. |
