| Abstract: | The paper reveals the main features of SMEs in EU countries. The contributions of the SME`s to the economies of different countries are analyzed. Ukraine has the opportunity to diversify its economy, that relies on a big enterprises operating in the basic commodity industries (for example, metallurgy), and to lead it to a more modern model, in particular to the development of a strong service sector and SMEs. |
