На прикладі Івано-Франківської області встановлено передумови розвитку туризму та популярні туристичні місця й об’єкти в регіоні. Визначено чисельність обслугованих туристів і доходи суб’єктів туристичної діяльності від надання туристичних послуг та доходи від діяльності колективних засобів розміщення. Проаналізовано туристичні продукти, запропоновані на ринку туристичних послуг та політику сприяння розвитку туризму місцевих органів влади. Виявлено мотиви, якими керуються туристи, відвідуючи регіон. З метою встановлення наближеної до реальної чисельності туристів, що відвідали найбільш привабливі міста, проведено розрахунки та прогнозовано їх чисельність. The article investigates the influence of foreign tourism on the social and economic development of the cross-border region, and defines its role and place in tourism activity. Preconditions for the development of tourism, popular tourist destinations and objects of the area are studied on the example of Ivano-Frankivsk region. The number of tourists, which have been served, was counted, as well as incomes of tourists from the provision of tourist services and income from the activities of collective accommodation facilities have been investigated. The tourism products offered on the market of tourist services and the promotion policy of tourism development of local authorities are analyzed. The reasons why tourists visit the region are identified. In order to establish an approximate number of tourists, (which is almost close to the real data) visiting the most attractive cities were made calculations and their number are shown. На основі Стратегій розвитку Львівської, Івано-Франківської, Закарпатської та Чернівецької областей на період до 2020 р. визначено, що основними групами факторів, які аналізуються при дослідженні макросередовища прикордонного регіону, є: polіtіcal-legal – політико-правові, economіc – економічні; socіal-cultural – соціально-культурні; technologіcal – технологічні. Акцентовано увагу на вагомому впливі кожної із зазначених груп на розвиток прикордонної території. Визначено, що окремі фактори є унікальними для певних областей, а інші – спільними, що викликає необхідність їх аналізу, з метою дослідження впливу на розвиток регіону загалом. Узагальнено фактори, які притаманні окремим областям прикордонного регіону з метою подальшої розробки схеми порівняльних переваг регіону, схеми викликів регіону та схеми ризиків регіону як інструментів стратегічного управління територіями. Summary The components of PEST-analysis of cross-border region were analyzed in the article. Based on the strategies of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia and Chernivtsi regions for the period to 2020 it was identified the main groups of factors analyzed in the study of macro sphere of crossborder region are: political-legal, economic; social-cultural technological and accentuated attention to the significant impact of each of these groups in the development of border areas. It was determined that some factors are unique to certain areas, while the others are common which causes the necessity of their analysis with the aim to study the impact on the development of the region. Factors that are inherent in certain areas of cross-border region to further development of the scheme of comparative advantages of the region, challenges and risks circuit diagrams of the regions, and strategic management tools of the territories have been under the consideration. На прикладі Чернівецької області досліджено реальний стан та проблеми розвитку туристичного ринку, структуру та динаміку його основних показників. Виявлено конкурентні переваги та особливості розвитку певних видів туризму, які безпосередньо залежать від прикордонного розміщення, визначено вплив туризму на соціально-економічний розвиток області. Розраховано показник нетто-інтенсивності здійснення туристичних подорожей населенням Чернівецької області та за допомогою показника туристичного збору в 2016 році обчислено реальну чисельність туристів, що користувалися готельними послугами. На основі аналізу туристичних потоків минулих років сформовано прогнозування майбутніх показників розвитку туризму в області до 2020 року, визначено перспективи та основні перешкоди реалізації прогнозного сценарію. This article covers the tourism sphere as a priority direction of the strategic development in cross-border region. The real situation and the problems of tourism market development, structure and dynamics of its main indicators are studied on the example of Chernivtsi region. The competitive advantages and peculiarities of development of certain tourism types, directly dependent on border location, are investigated and the influence of tourism on socio-economic development of the region is determined. The indicator of net intensity of tourist trips made by the Chernivtsi region population is calculated, and using the tourism tax indicator calculated in 2016, the actual number of tourists, who currently use hotel services is indicated. Based on the analysis of tourist flows for past few years, the forecast for future indicators of tourism development in the region has been created up to 2020, the prospects and main obstacles to the implementation of the forecast scenario have been found out.
