Здійснено теоретичне обґрунтування взаємозв’язку між дефініціями еколого-економічного розвитку та зростання, на основі чого запропоновано власну дефініцію еколого-економічного зростання. На основі аналізу наукових джерел виявлено, що глобальні фінансово-економічні кризи уповільнили діяльність міжнародної спільноти у напрямі сталого розвитку. Дискусія змістилась від початкової вихідної точки, тобто задоволення потреб у чітко визначених межах, до потреб, визначених навколишнім середовищем. Проведений детальний аналіз нових «зелених» концепцій показав, що вони стимулювали міжнародну увагу та поновили глобальні зусилля трансформації наявної нестійкої економічної моделі у напрямі, що відповідає ключовим Цілям сталого розвитку. «Зелені» концепції відродили глобальну дискусію щодо нового визначення економічної моделі досягнення узгодженої імперативної мети, тобто сталого розвитку. The authors investigate the synergy of two concepts: sustainable development and green growth in the context of international environmental initiatives. In despite of numerous environmental and economic initiatives aiming to balance economic growth and its environmental consequences, humanity has crossed a number of planetary and environmental boundaries. It is proved that the term development is more complex and broad than growth: the first is a complex system of qualitative indicators, and the second is purely quantitative; economic growth shows how much it has increased, such as GDP, and development takes into account other characteristics, such as the structure of the economy, income distribution (uneven income distribution), unemployment, infrastructure, education, and so on. It was found that there are significant differences between the concepts of green growth and sustainable development. First, sustainable development covers a wider range of goals, as green growth focuses only on environmental and economic issues, not including the social component. Second, green growth, as the name implies, focuses on the category of growth rather than development itself, which is a broader term. Third, green growth is a purely economic growth based on the use of environmental resources, and therefore may have a negative impact on it. Fourth, green growth is one of the solutions to decrease economic crises, and therefore, this process is accompanied by other economic or social measures. Thus, despite the fact that both green growth and the green economy can be perceived as subcategories of sustainable development or even its direct consequences, from the above we can conclude that these terms need to be differentiated. Summarizing the results of the analysis, we propose the following definition of green growth: economic growth, which is achieved by providing and implementing effective environmental and economic policies, rational use of natural capital, implementation of measures to prevent and reduce pollution, create conditions for improving overall social welfare. The paper is devoted to the study of approaches that determine the global socioeconomic order from the point of view of the implementation of principles of bioeconomic priorities and the peculiarities of the integration of economic systems into the world economy at all its levels. The increase of productivity of the world economy, by providing the world community with the conditions for minimizing economic, technological, social, political, environmental and other types of risks are under the investigation. Bioeconomics is considered as an economic mechanism for the implementation of biotechnology, that is, as a new branch of the existing technological structure. The value of such approach is to take into account the triune combination of the principles of sustainable development: economic, social, and biological.
