Abstract: Головною проблемою вищої освіти в Україні стала зміна підходів до економічної підтримки вищих
навчальних закладів (ВНЗ) і принципові зміни структури попиту на освітні послуги. В нових умовах ВНЗ
намагаються вирішити вказану проблему з орієнтацією на розвиток інноваційної економіки,
проголошеної основним принципом державної політики України, шляхом створення відповідних
інноваційних механізмів. У статті досліджується різниця між інноваційною діяльністю ВНЗ, інноваційним
розвитком ВНЗ та інноваційним ВНЗ. На основі аналізу праць вітчизняних науковців обґрунтовано, що
найбільш повним визначенням, що включає широке коло питань пов’язаних як з результатом, так і з
процесом інноваційної діяльності, є поняття інноваційного ВНЗ. На основі аналізу закордонного досвіду
доведено доцільність використання чітких критеріїв, за якими оцінюється рівень інноваційності ВНЗ.
Звідси надано авторське визначення поняття інноваційного ВНЗ та доведено необхідність формування
відповідних критеріїв.
The main problem of higher education in Ukraine is the change in approaches to the universities’
economic support and fundamental changes in the structure of educational services demand. In terms of
new conditions, the university is trying to solve this problem with an orientation towards the innovative
economy development proclaimed as the basic principle of Ukraine’s state policy by creating relevant
innovative mechanisms. The article explores the difference between the university innovative activities, the
universities innovative development, and the innovative university. Based on the analysis of the Ukrainian
scientists’ work, it is substantiated that the most comprehensive definition, including a wide range of issues
related to both the result and the process of innovation, is the definition of an innovative university. Based
on the analysis of foreign experience, it has been proved that it is advisable to use clear criteria by which
the level of university innovativeness is assessed. From here, the author's definition of the innovative
university concept is provided and the need to form relevant criteria is proved.2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
